Contribute a photo

The photos currently in our library are AI-generated placeholders. Real-stone photos from collectors make the library more useful for everyone trying to identify a stone after you.

What we're looking for

• Full-stone photos with a known light source (daylight, LED, etc.)
• Macro shots of inclusions, ideally through a 10x loupe
• Long-wave UV (blacklight) fluorescence response

Stones with a lab report are great, but we accept stones without one too — they'll just be flagged as "no report" on the page.

Before you send

• Please send only photos you took yourself — no reposts of other people's work.
• We strip EXIF metadata (including any GPS data) on receipt.
• You can ask us to remove your photos at any time after publishing.
• This is an independent library, so we can't offer payment.
